Koichi Noguchi

NEC

Koichi Noguchi, based in Tokyo, is a Manager at NEC Corporation, where he works on the incubation and development of new businesses in the sustainability space, building on NEC's technology portfolio. His focus is the commercial question behind corporate sustainability: how environmental capability becomes a service that customers will actually buy, and how a large technology group turns research assets into propositions for decarbonisation and resource management. Koichi brings experience from previous roles at PwC Japan, where he was a Sustainability and Strategy Consulting Manager advising clients on sustainability strategy and disclosure, and at Leatherhead Food Research. He is an FSA Credential holder and holds a Master of Science in Water Science, Policy and Management from the University of Oxford, completed in 2021, which grounds his work in the governance and economics of natural resources as well as the technology. That combination of consulting, research and corporate development gives him a practical view of where sustainability ambitions meet the constraints of business models.
