Kay Seo
Kay serves as Senior Director and Head of Strategic Pursuits & Global Partnerships at NEC Labs America. In her current role, Kay incubates, delivers and promotes global collaboration projects that strengthen NEC's research agenda applying AI, analytics, sensing and machine learning, focusing on areas such as operations optimization, sustainability, supply chain, energy efficiency, resource management, security, risk management and disaster preparedness. Through strategic partnerships with private and public sector entities, universities, research institutions, and NGOs worldwide, Kay ensures NEC's research efforts translate into solutions that are transformative and innovative, while practical and scalable, with measurable outcomes that address market needs and global challenges. Previously, Kay has led key roles in high-tech innovation, particularly in telecom, managing P&Ls of up to $500M globally, overseeing business development, product management, global deployment and strategic partnerships. Kay also advises startups and mentors and coaches emerging leaders. Kay holds an MBA from New York University and a BA in English from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul.
