Facundo Armas is Global Head of Sustainable Business at Globant, specializing in AI and environmental sustainability. He drives digital transformation at the intersection of ESG, sustainable IT, and AI governance, working with financial services, policymakers, and enterprises on climate tech, carbon management, and responsible AI deployment. His work focuses on the practical question of how large organisations convert sustainability commitments into engineering and product decisions: measuring the footprint of digital services, building the data infrastructure behind credible carbon reporting, and setting the guardrails under which AI systems are deployed at scale. Before joining Globant he held strategic consulting roles across banking, insurance, non-profits, consumer goods, energy, healthcare and industrial automation, and led strategic design at the Innovation Directorate of the City of Buenos Aires, running innovation projects for a range of ministries and government departments. He is a graduate in Business Administration of Universidad Austral, where he also teaches on business intelligence, and a regular commentator on sustainability and technology at international forums including COP and Davos.
