Andreas Candido
Andreas is our Programmes & Operations Manager based out of Brussels. Andreas joined GeSI in March 2024, with the goal of supporting the newly operationalised Programs, Platforms & Partnerships. He is also responsible for the day-to-day running of the GeSI Brussels office, where he coordinates the practical side of the organisation's European engagement, from event delivery and member communications to project reporting. Andreas is currently overseeing GeSI's involvement in the European Green Digital Coalition Phase II, working alongside industry signatories and EU institutions on the methodologies and commitments that underpin the initiative. Before joining GeSI he spent several years at Gartner, progressing into a leadership development programme in which he supported senior leaders on strategy, planning and the execution of operational and project initiatives. He also spent five years as a football referee, an experience he credits with teaching him how to make decisions under pressure. Andreas holds a Master's in Politics and Policy Analysis from Bocconi University and a Master's in EU Affairs, specialising in Energy, Environment & Sustainability, from Sciences Po.
